The Japanese word for big is a bit odd in that it can be used as either an -i adjective (ookii) or a -na adjective (ookina). I've never seen any particular pattern to which version is used, so it's probably variable from region to region.
'kuchi ga ookii' on the other hand, would mean 'has a big mouth.'
