Amongst other things, I was always big on old school Rock 'n Roll. One of my favorite students when I taught was also a big fan. I had him practice pronunciation via karaoke. He had a pompadour. It was pretty great except that he referred to Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley etc. as "black music" and I just thought it was such a weird freakin' term.

She's just talking about rap. Can ya dig it?

In all honesty, I can think of many more clean words to finish her sentence than dirty ones. I don't think Karl had a thing to worry about cutting her off there.

coarse if he had a computer at home he could just have Karl send him US itunes cards in exchange for sending Karl Japanese ones (if you have a Japanese itunes acct you can dl songs from it but you need Japanese itunes cards to put cash on your account)
