I have absolutely no problem reading mangas right to left, what I do hate hate are English/French versions of manga whose pages are left to right instead or right to left

I find that since I've spent more time reading manga than english comics, I mistakenly read the latter right-to-left all the time.

No problem here either with reading right to left. I refuse to read translated mangas in English, though. The characters sound ridiculously different from how they do normally.

Ironically, I have no problem at all. Even though I grew up in the states, I always naturally flipped the pages in a book from left to right. It always felt natural to do it what would be considered reverse in the US and western world.

To this day I can still not do the single handed page flip with a US/western book... but I have always been able to do it naturally with Japanese books.

The result: I tend to read the end of stories and the backs of books first in English. But do things normal from the beginning in Japanese.

The reading isn't as difficult as following the action right-to-left in manga...

That took some getting used to as a young kid.

Only problem with Anime is that they cut so much out of the Manga.

I have heard about the earthquake that hit Japan. Are you fine ?

I hope Japan does not suffer much from this disaster.

The thing with reading mangas for me is a self problem. The thing is that I had constantly bending the book to the point that it will stay curved as well as to make that white thing on the bind and edges, so I tend to keep reading view to a bare minimum which is a pain when the text is basiccly on the bind and I can't read it properly

The comics are small. When they're printed in magazines they're actually a good 50% bigger. But since individual volumes are intended to be collected and not thrown away (unlike the magazines), I guess they decided it would be better to print them smaller.

Reading right to left should not be a problem for anyone, at least not for someone who hasn't been reading American comics waaay too long.

Yeah, is everything okay where you're at?

I'm fine and my Japanese family is safe. Thank you all for your concerns here and on the Facebook fan page! Please, do what you can to help Japan.
