Why not french fries? Hash browns are made of potatoes, too.

Enjoying your strip. I'm planning on visiting Japan with my family for my 20th wedding anniversary. However that's 6 years away so until then I can live vicarously though the strip.

Keep it up!

French fries for breakfast?? I'm guessing the same people who eat that are also the "cold breakfast pizza" eaters, too.

let's not forget the absurdly thick wonder-bread style toast ...

This is EXACTLY what I felt like during that first breakfast at Tokyo Orientation.

That's so totally Japanese...we got that kind of think in Hiroshima. You could get a "Western" or a Japanese breakfast...and the Japanese one was so much better. Boiled eggs, french fries, salad... I'll take the miso soup, thanks.
