I just happened across this from a link from Comics I Don't Understand. I'll be showing this to my son, who is, among other things:
thirteen
African-American
already 5'8"
and a BIG fan of certain aspect of Japanese
popular culture, especially anime, manga and anything involving swords and/or ninjas. Amusingly enough, he prefers sushi to fried chicken.

I thought of him when I saw your sidebar panel showing you towering above the Nihon street scene.

Sincerely,
Robert Walker-Smith

Excellent, man. Love the compositional "rhymes" in the airplane panel.

This looks like it's going to be an interesting comic! And I found it at just the perfect time...I am planning to go to Japan, and everyone I know keeps telling me that it is not going to be like what I expect! I guess (for me and for the comic) we have to wait and see! =)

Excellent, Khalid. Can't wait to see if there are appearances of tiny beers, school kids running around Nara with deer antlers, phone-booth stickers, and so on!
