"My Country, 'Tis of Thee" For Racists

Photo by Mathew Schwartz on Unsplash

Sung to the tune of “My Country, Tis of Thee.” But with fear.

My country, ’tis of thee,

Sweet mask of liberty,

Of thee I sing.

Land where my fathers lied!

Land of caucasian pride!

From every mountainside,

Let anarchy ring!

My native country, thee,

Land of slave history,

Thy name I love.

I love thy malls and beauty shops,

Thy Netflix and violent cops;

My heart with rapture fills

With their fear of death.

Let music swell the breeze,

As Black men swing from trees

Sweet freedom’s song.

Let racist tongues awake;

Let all that breathe berate;

Let rocks their silence break,

The American ego song.

Our father’s God to, Thee,

Author of scrutiny,

To Thee we sing.

Long may our land be white

With financial freedom’s holy light;

Protect us by Thy might,

White supremacy, our King!
